Executive coaching

Focus on what only you can do in the business.

Private executive coaching for CEOs, founders and senior leaders who have become the bottleneck in the organization they built.

It’s lonely at the top, and noisy

By the time you run the place, few people will tell you the truth. Your team filters what reaches you. Your family has heard enough about work. Meanwhile, every decision seems to land on your desk.

Executive coaching gives you one place to say what you can’t say anywhere else, with someone who understands both the P&L and the people.

“She also helped me maintain my sanity by training my team members so they can own their tasks and I can focus on what only I can do in the business.”

What we work on

Common focus areas for executives

Getting out of the weeds

We work out what only you should be doing, then build what’s needed to hand off the rest.

Your mental load

Stress changes how you decide. My counseling background helps us address the pressure, along with the task list.

Culture from the top

Your team takes its cues from you. We look at the signals you’re sending, and whether they’re the ones you intend.

Your leadership team

We work on how you develop, challenge and trust the people who report to you.

Systems that hold

Good procedures free up leaders. When it helps, I work with you on the processes behind the people problems.

Hard decisions

You get a confidential sounding board for restructures, departures and the calls you’re losing sleep over.

Why it matters to the business

Treat your team well, and the bottom line follows.

That has been my view for 18 years in the field. People who feel valued and trusted do their best work, and guests and customers feel the difference.

We decide up front how we’ll judge the coaching, using measures you already care about, like retention, engagement or the hours you get back. Here’s how I think about the ROI of coaching.

Questions

Executive coaching FAQ

What’s the difference between executive coaching and leadership coaching?

The skills overlap. The difference is the seat. Executive coaching deals with the pressures of running a business or a large function: culture, senior teams, board or owner relationships, and being the one who makes the final call.

What’s the difference between a coach, a consultant, a counselor and a mentor?

A consultant advises, a mentor shares their path, a counselor helps you heal, and a coach helps you find and build your own way forward. I wrote more about which one you need.

Can you work with my team too?

Yes. Some clients start with one-to-one coaching and then bring me in for team training and culture work, which helps new habits spread beyond one person.

Tell me what’s going on. We’ll start there.

A coffee chat is a free, 30-minute, no-pressure conversation online about what you’re dealing with and whether coaching is the right next step.
